The things i write down for you is the general picture of the specific amplifier, pointed out problems that exist on specific models and also pointed out related problems versus the intended use of the amplifier ( 4th way tweeter amplifier )
To be able to comment on your measuring result i need first to understand your measuring tools procedure, configuration and so on ....
Kindest regards
Sakis

@ Mr Wibble: It's not the well known and easely fixable cut-out problem.
@ East electronics:
I'dd be glad to explain more about the problem, as I said in my first post my electronics knowledge is very limited.
Something that stood out to me in the impuls respons is the huge ripple in comparison to a more expensive NAD 356BEE and cheapo all in one pioneer amp. The repetition rate of the ripple is 40ms about 25Hz. This tells me something is wrong, I hoped it would tell you guys what exactly is wrong.
I'm certainly willing to do other measurements if someone is willing to talk me through them.

Are you sure that you are not picking up any mains noise that low ....
What type of instruments do you use ? Tell us a few things more about the configuration ?

It's an acoustical measurement of the tweeter, using a mic. Theoretically it should be a perfect dirac pulse but it is contaminated with driver ringing, reflections etc. Because I measured at the same position for mic and tweeter and use the same tweeter the only difference in plots is the output of the amps. I do know speakers and acoustics.
I plug the amp in the mains, hook up the tweeter and do a sine sweep using REW and a pc soundcard output to RCA in.
I do have a homemade jig (specs below) for speaker impedance measurements, maybe I can use it for some other electrical measurement?

maybe the problem can manifest in different ways and create the results u got initially?

The above comments got me thinking and since the fix for the cut-out problem is easy to do and has nice pix I installed the lug and soldered the ground wire to R922.
Lo and behold:

No more ripple 😀.
I would like to thank everybody for your valued contributions and keeping up with my newbie questions.
Marantz PM55 relay replacement
Hey guys!
Is anyone knows a relay replacement that could be suitable alternative to Marantz PM 55 SE Amplifier? I would really appreciate anyone shining some light on it. It doesn`t look I can find a suitable one for this model.
The amp started to develope a fault, it does power on but it stops there and the relay doesn't click.
Many Thanks
