Made in Canada, eh

I do know in the past the Canadian Government would provide assistance to help Canadian manufacturers do business on the international level.
In the 90's I attended many electronic industry trade shows here in the US, and noticed there was usually a "Canadian section" on the floor. Turns out the government would rent a dozen or so booths to allow Canadian manufacturers to exhibit at no cost, and I do remember talking with the guys from Hammond a few times. Not sure if this program still exists but it did seem to be uniquely Canadian, at least in that industry.

Good electronics are still made here (inside Canada's borders) for many purposes including audio, and complete plug and play audio, amps, speakers and everything in between, all of the usual. For diy too if that's your choice of poison. It might just take a little extra effort to find certain items sometimes. And cost more or less greater. If your in it for the long haul (and fuller enjoyment) of the hobby. In the end its totally worth doing. Buying loyally local and responsibly.
