Valeriano,

Grey has shipped on Monday, as you can see.
They have not arrived yet, but we need your postal address.
Could you send it directly yo Bertram (you already have his email address) ?

As soon as they arrive, we shall ship to you both.
The final sums will take a while, as we only get the invoice from the German custom after some months.

Regards,
Patrick

I am interested in some of these JFETS but am unable to e-mail directly due to the moderation constraint. I do not need matched devices as the application I wish to experiment does not require it. I would like 10 parts. Please contact me with instructions. Thanks.

Fred

Grey,

It's been about 2 weeks and we have not yet received the shipment.

Do you have a tracking number, or is it possible to track at your end ?

Sorry for the trouble and many thanks,
Patrick

PS Myron We don't have any left. Sorry for that. You can still get them from Taihiti, I think.

Patrick,
Welcome to the waiting game...unfortunately, Air Parcel Post doesn't have a tracking number. I've considered instituting a lottery to pass the time during these shipments. Players put their money on various dates, and we see who wins. So far the shortest I've seen is about five days, the longest almost four weeks. Why it's so variable, I do not know. You'd think that with scheduled flights taking place daily, they'd be more consistent. On the other hand, given my experiences with the Postal Service (see earlier in the thread for examples), I suppose I should be thankful they get there at all.

The first EU group buy went like this. The parts took the slow route across the water. The organizer got very...um...heated with me, accusing me of all sorts of things. Then the parts arrived...something like 5 weeks after I sent them.
He never did apologize.

Grey

Grey,

a) I have not gotten (yet) very heated with you. 🙂
b) I hope Ihave not accused you of anything. 😕
c) I have an obligation to all the other guys(who have all paid) to report status, and explore solutions in case we MIGHT have a problem.

If there were any points in my previous posts which implied in any way personal accusations at you, I am more than happy to apologise openly.

Let's give it another 2 weeks then. 😱

Patrick

My apologies. I did not mean to imply that Patrick has gotten rowdy. He hasn't.
The waiting game is annoying for everyone. Especially when waiting for fun toys.
Silly me...I tend to think that if UPS and FedEx can predict with pretty fair accuracy what day a package will arrive at its destination the USPS ought to be able to do the same. Instead, they say 5-10 days, and the only thing I've discovered about that estimate is that you can safely go on vacation, as the package will arrive either earlier or later, but certainly not during that time.
Grumble.

Grey

Hey, I've lived in Germany and had people send stuff
from states with USPS time estimate, but once it gets
into the hands of another countries postal system???
I had one package that the sender said I would receive
in two weeks and finally saw 4 1/2 months later!
Grey was very fast with shipping mine out here to
Colorado which I had before my check even cleared!

Hi GRollins,
I like to build the Zen v9 and need some of these JFETs. I read on DIYaudio that you are selling some. Do you still have any of those to ship them to germany? I can not send an e-mail to you because my account is to new. It would be kind if you write to me.

my e-mail: adpack@gmx.de

Thank you and best regards

Adrian

For those in Europe who want small quantities (<10), you may have a look at this :

http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=1092673#post1092673

I had organised 100 pcs and offered them 20 pcs a time, at cost with no mark-up. All 100 have been accounted for, although they have yet to turned up. I am sure some of those 3 gentlemen (Italy, Hungary, Sweden) who are each going to get 20 pcs from me might have a few to spare.

Grey only ships 100 pcs minimum to Europe, prepayment by bank transfer only. So I don't think it will serve the need of those who just want 4 pcs or so.

Patrick

Just an update for the 3 gentlemen who are getting Loveltechs from the same batch as me -- the parcel from Grey has yet to appear. Since it was sent 29th January and is not quite 5 weeks yet as Grey mentioned in a few posts previous, I propose to give it one more week, and then I shall regretably have to ask Grey to claim insurance and send again.

So please kindly bear with us for another couple of days.

Regards,
Patrick
