What is the most creative design that can be built? They're just cloning a design that can be bettered. I own lots of older JBL drivers and I wouldn't bother building those.
It's okI tried to translate your text into my language, but it got confusing, sorry. If you are referring to a diy and can post a link I would appreciate it. 🙁
🟢Where can I buy Woofer or Baskets for recone 2245H?What is the most creative design that can be built?
Define most creative. Definite cost, SPL, sensitivity, physical size and LF response, not to mention directivity goals would help with suggestions. Also, passive or active DSP?What is the most creative design that can be built?
I'm not sure factory recones are still available. It's an old driver and there are better available new.Where can I buy Woofer or Baskets for recone 2245H?
If your stuck on the idea of vintage JBL components, try Jammin Jersey.

🟢I didn't mean creative, the translation came out wrong. I meant better musically, velvety bass.
The crossover will be passive.
The A/B amplifier 2 X 200W + 1 X 100W
I gave up on M2 because I couldn't find a quality video with the right song to get an "idea of how it plays"
we know the videos are far from what is actually playing, but I notice some details that guide me in the right direction.
I found the Recone Kit 2245H, what is missing is the Raw Frame or even the finished speaker.
Brett, please don't get tired of me, understand that it will be a lot of money invested, I'm afraid of making a mistake, I won't have another opportunity.
I will wait for your suggestion, and thanks for helping me
Fair enough, it's why I asked. I remember you saying English was not your first language.I didn't mean creative, the translation came out wrong. I meant better musically, velvety bass.
OK. Now I can only give suggestions here of what I would try and tell you if I have experience of the drivers, but not necessarily in this sort of configuration. The crossover will be passive.
Now I'm confused. You say the xover will be passive, but mention 3 channels of amplification...The A/B amplifier 2 X 200W + 1 X 100W
Aftermarket, not JBL factory so results could be great, or not. I've heard lots of reports of aftermarket recones and they vary a lot. I only used JBLs myself.I found the Recone Kit 2245H
I'm happy to offer suggestions, but being a long way away, I'm also cautious in what I suggest, lest it not work for you.Brett, please don't get tired of me, understand that it will be a lot of money invested, I'm afraid of making a mistake, I won't have another opportunity.

What driver brands can you get locally? Or will you be importing from the US or somewhere else?
*********************************************************************************************************
My 100% most comfortable suggestion is you build the Asathor as it looks really good, drivers are good and affordable and it's well documented.
If it doesn't go deep enough, build some subs which you can make powered and in separate enclosures.

I misspelled it, it's two stere amplifiers, 2 x 200W + 2 x 100W for the top driver.

These are my amplifiers to drive the boxes, The box is passive but will be powered by bi-wiring.Now I'm confused. You say the xover will be passive, but mention 3 channels of amplification...

Is there a reliable, best-branded supplier?Aftermarket, not JBL factory so results could be great, or not. I've heard lots of reports of aftermarket recones and they vary a lot. I only used JBLs myself.
Here in Brazil you won't find anything, just car drivers. Will I have to import from the USAWhat driver brands can you get locally? Or will you be importing from the US or somewhere else?

I would really like to see a quality video with her playing, I searched on youtube but didn't find anything. If it doesn't go deep enough, build some subs which you can make powered and in separate enclosures.
What does "xover" mean?xover
I found this video, I also heard others recorded in the audition room. One ear is not the same as the other, I didn't like what I'm listening to, she's cold in the bass, I know I won't like it.My 100% most comfortable suggestion is you build the Asathor as it looks really good, drivers are good and affordable and it's well documented.

Edited:
I found another video with better bass but I still don't like it, something bothers me and I don't know how to explain it, maybe because it's 2 way, maybe I don't like the compression driver.
Feeling good Look at this tasty speaker!
The same song, but it displeases my ears

Passive biamping is useless. These are my amplifiers to drive the boxes, The box is passive but will be powered by bi-wiring.

No idea sorry. Is there a reliable, best-branded supplier?
Crossover.What does "xover" mean?
It's not the Asathor.I found this video, I also heard others recorded in the audition room.
YT videos for determining sound quality (SQ) are less than useless. How do you know the major determinant in the SQ in the YT video is not the recording device and/or the person's position in the room? One ear is not the same as the other, I didn't like what I'm listening to, she's cold in the bass, I know I won't like it.
Why are they better suited to small rooms?there are other 4 way designs out there more suited for smaller rooms
I just found out that I won't find the original speakers and that the recone kit cones are parallel manufactured generically. 😢^ Problem solved. Build a pair.
Have you heard the JBL 077? they are very intense (but clean). And horns, over all, is needed to fill bigger rooms and foucus the wave in a forward direction. Why are they better suited to small rooms?
And if you mix JBL 077 with for example scan speak classic series you would know what i mean.
The closer you can come to a 4345 is a Troels Gravesen's TL1.
Won't come cheap.
Viper_user: isn't directivity control ( matching between drivers) a reason to use horn/waveguides?
Anyway, what led the designers of Jbl to this kind of loudspeakers ( at that period in time) was a certain kind of rendering. If someone likes it it will be difficult to have the same thing without using the same recipe ( in my view those are high efficiency, big drivers, big box).
Like Brett i wonder why you won't see this kind of loudspeakers used in small room ( i see one only real drawback).

Yep, horrible things and not needed in any domestic system I can think of.Have you heard the JBL 077?
Work really well in smaller rooms too because of the narrower directivity not lighting the side and front walls anywhere near as much as the more common wide dispersion cone and dome. And horns, over all, is needed to fill bigger rooms and foucus the wave in a forward direction.
I've been using controlled directivity HE designs in smallish rooms for >20y and I wouldn't go back to wide dispersion if given the choice.
I'm just finding TL2The closer you can come to a 4345 is a Troels Gravesen's TL1.

UHF not needed and stupid expensive xover. Cheaper to do it active.

Please apologize Silvio, we constantly use acronyms... this is the one Brett linked.
I agree if i planed something like this i would go active filtering (dsp) and multiamp, and yes uhf is optional in my view too.
TL2 or TL3 are effort to make smaller box.
The description of TL1 is interesting as it gives his own vision of the 'recipe' to this kind of loudspeakers .
