Hi,
I am thinking to convert my 3 stages amp ( D3a 45 300B ) in to 2 stage D3a-300B Interestage Transformer Lundall LL1671 ( 1:2 configuration ). I would like to have less background noise and I think by avoiding the 45 it could happen. Would I have enough gain with the D3a 1:2 IT 300B coming out of a 2v Dac?
I know there is some D3a 300B amps , but someone tell that is not enough the D3a swing.

It is a drop in. Close enough.
I remember when I had the d3a, I treated the Russian E180F and I think a Russian E280F as dropins, don't remember the russian name type, it was a long time ago. I liked the Russian E280F the most.

In my 300B SE I use D3a or E280F too (CCS loaded, LED biased). Is it a drop in?
The tone is little different, D3a is the "rock", E280F more refined.
