I recently finished my LM3875 gainclone project. I designed my own PCB and build an alu case from scratch. It is now playing perfectly, no hum or noise and no "pops" when turning on and off.
The amp has an external power supply, as can be seen at the photo's.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
As you can see on the photo's on my website, the heatsinks are no solid alu blocks. They are taken from an old DC AC converter.
Yes, excellent work.
I often wonder if some of these GC amps will be found in say a hundred years time and become valuable antiques.
This sort of example should certainly survive that long and have some intrinsic value as a piece of craftsmanship too! 😉

Looks great! This is just like what I'm planning, a simple 2 channel gainclone on LM3875's. I'm curious how you made the chassis though...
Thanks for the info and photos!

mur 860
Yes they are, as you can read on my website: MUR860.
from datasheet:
DIODE, ULTRA FAST 8A 600V; Voltage, Vrrm:600V; Current, If av:8A; Current, Ifs max:100A; Time, trr max:50ns; Voltage, forward at If:1.5V; Case style:TO-220AC; Current, forward If:8A; Diode type:Fast Recovery; Pins, numbe
Are those rectifiers fast-recovery type???
