Linux for Audiophiles !!

I am using Windows 7, and Linux as live CD only in emergencies.
As such, the Linux tips are not needed.

You might want to replace PulseAudio and JACKd with Pipewire...

Or you might want to use Alsa directly without pulseaudio, jack or pipewire in between for bit perfect playback.

If you're interested in going back to 1990's style "one device at a time" audio, go for it...
