Strictly speaking, the Silver6 is not a hi-fi standard, but combined with a "loud" 16 cm ~700 Hz 12 dB it is certainly worth a test. when the BR impedance, the second peak coincides with the resonance of the closed case Silver6 when connected in parallel.
I'm using the plans from the Lii website for the S6's.What cabinets (it varies from design to design)?

Er -hard to say, since they can't be bothered to say themselves. Since their driver data is often a trifle odd, I'm not entirely surprised, although I take no joy in saying that. Harsh, but the truth not infrequently sounds that way.
Give me ten, I'll see what I can suggest.
Edit: back. Looking at it, I see they don't bother to provide proper dimensions for the box either (sigh), but approximating like mad, I'd suggest the tried & trusted method of lagging the throat (horizontal part below the driver), the top, one sidewall, and the back of the sloping internal dividing panel with 12mm - 25mm bonded acoustic fibreglass, BAF or an equivalent.

Wel, i measured the Silver 6 i was talking about yesterday but the owner does not want it published. But i can say i was disappointed, very low qts due to very low qes and high inductance for a fullrange. And the xmax is only 2mm. The top end is also more ragged than the specs says and very lazer-beam directivity. Not fit for a TL in my opinion, only for a BLH and not going very low i think. And it does not sound good at all.
The owner (who loves his Silver 8/W15 OB) thinks it's the worst Lii he has heared and will return them. He heared my Mark Audio CHN110 MLTL while he was here and will probally build that cabinet i designed also as he wanted an MLTL for his office and was surprised how good these cheap drivers sound in that cabinet...

Hi Dave
Since you’re the Canadian Distributor of Mark Audio drivers I’ll pretend you don’t have a biased opinion about MA...😉. Can I ask you how much is a pair of CHN110 in $ CDN.
Thanks
Eric

I have never been a distributor of Mark Audio. I bought them from Madisound like everyone else, then modified and matched them. Sadly not for some time now.

Cheaper here than Madisound, and they are in stock: https://kjfaudio.com/product/chn-110/Ok I’ll check somewhere else then.

Late to the party but which 6" driver would you recommend? Using for open baffle paired with two GRS 15" woofers in the same baffle that I would like to cross around 350hz.Well, i did spend some time yesterday with a guy in my region who owns an OB setup with the Silver 8 and the W15 woofer from Lii. Next to it is his old setup with the AN Alnico 10's and AE 15" woofers and they do sound very similar. He uses them with SET amplifiers and an analog crossover.
I think the Lii is a kind of better version of the AN drivers. I don't like both, but i can see why they are appealing to people who like that kind of drivers. But for me they are very ragged in response, beaming and not worth it. It's not that they are unlistenable, but for way less you can get better. And other oldskool brands like Lowter are a lot better than that.
The guy invited me there because he wants me to design an MLTL for a pair of silver 6's that he ordered for his office. So i will have those somewhere soon in my house to measure and design. If he doesn't mind i may post about that (but he is a paying customer, so his wish is law).
Thank you. I actually ended up settling on this one before I saw your recommendation. I liked the fact that it was a paper cone instead of metal. It's in the same family as you recommended. ALPAIR-10P https://www.madisoundspeakerstore.c...wer amplification and audiophile level source.

No. The oone pictured is fully EnABLed — that takes considerable practise. But anyone should be able to do the pretreatment which is a thin coat of thinned puzzlekoat/modPodge.

Some measures do show differences, but they are subtle and open to considerable interpretation.
