Sorry my bad, just wanted to be a bit more personal. hehe.

And jacco, I wasn't stressed about getting the boards, just the opposite, I said I didn't believe no one was in a hurry but tried to encourage Jens on working in the project because I think many people are really interested in the project.

I´m still trying to figure out a good way of building a SMPS, switching power supply, so I won't be needing any PCBs of the super leach until i´m finished with the PSU design.
😀

Hi,

A small update on the layout.....

The routing is clearly not done yet!

I implemented a 2.54 mm SIL row of headers to connect the output board to the input section...

These can be connected either by means of a small PCB (not shown but visible on my old standard Leach prototype) or by means of a wire.

Let me know what you think.

Second that! 🙂

I didn't know you guys had this thread up again. Jens, how reliable is the SIL connector for long term use? I meant that with this kind of amp, it would more that enough to rock the house. therefore, the amplifier itself will be subject to vibration...

I would have preffered the first alternative.

This one:

With the connection made in the PCB but with solder points and the ability to split the card and then use cables.

The design now looks a bit more space-inefficient than the first alternative. Also, for people who intend to have the output board and signal board attached it's additional work to solder in the cables/SIL socket.

Well, it would be nice if the connetion was made in the PCB but one could choose to split it and then use cables, I think this solution would suit most people.

Really good work though 🙂 I´m really excited that it's moving forward.

yup, in my case i would like to try TO-3's, or put two or three output boards.

hi jens,

maybe you can reduce board size more by removing the zobel network from the board, i wire mine on output binding jacks anyway, but it is just me, wonder what the others think.😀
