Thank you for responding. I'll ask the manufacturer.Yes, those and others. I'm afraid I don't have an impedance plot for them, perhaps the manufacturer can help.
Hello,
i have followed closely this nice tread, and is time to build my Simple Sit amp.
First i am planing to try L'amp version, and then Hammond 193 Version.
My question is,
do you think i can use (for economic reasons) hammond 193T instead 193V?
I now they have lower inductance(50mH) and only 2A current. Resistance is quite similar.

Of coarse Bias will be 2A Max, or lower.
Someone tried to use 193T?
Do you think 193T could be an option, although less features?
Thanks

Thank you Michael for your answer and also for sharing with us your excellent work.In my opinion, 100mH is about the practical lower limit if you intend to use this as a fullrange amp. The 193V is worth the extra $50. And, in the meantime, you may decide the lightbulb version is all you need.
for the 193V sit guys , i have found a 2.5amp 4V battery for the bias .
few years to come with this one

Bit late to the party, but hey ho.
This is my attempt. Vishay thick films instead of lightbulbs as a load and CLC power supply using some 280mH surplus chokes I had. Weights it at a cool 28kg! That's an even worse power/weight ratio than the valve amps I normally build.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
