Or one could drop the 'em12' a little / or leave put and mount the tweet below. I'm sure there's a point at which the driver should'nt be dropped below.
No it doesn't. Situated close to the top makes a top mounted tweeter more suitable, and better suited for flipping a 2nd set upside down on top of them for more output. Or flipping them upside down on a similar size woofer box (i'm still on the hunt for some suitable 12")

"flipping" all right - you can get someone else to help with that lift on these puppies
Holy poop Batman! flipped and on top of a similar sized woofer (EmkenWOOF?)!!!!!!!!!!! 6' of Emken loudness/goodness/craziness
I think for lifting to that height you'll need inset handles (as well as the wheels) and a new very large friend

WoofKen?
Oh My
my son used to play a shooter game "WolfenStein", appropriately sized as support for these would certainly be Woofenstein
and our last couple of more modestly sized woofer/stands for 3-4" FR drivers were nicknamed "Woofties" (for trapezoid shape)
Right a supertweeter on top like many speakers today with a bullet mount tweet free of the box.

To measure them proper i need to lift them onto a table as high as Emken is tall.

You should be ok between you, Chris & tuxedocivic.
Didn't realise the effort involved in carrying out measurements was physical as well - at least you have the 15mm version 😛

Not true, ours is the same as yours... trying to heft it led to the 15mm version.
Getting the speaker as far away from the 1st reflective surface as possible increases the validity of the LF region. I can get the speakers 12' from that 1st surface if i set them on the table on my back deck.
Harder than that is getting the mic a metre+ from the driver on axis.

I have a 90 degree cal file for my mic if you want to use it. Then you can dangle it from a boom in front of the speaker 😀

In that case I share your pain - My reading skills are clearly getting worse 🙄
Just moved them out the way for the new carpet and sound deadening underlay to go down this morning. Hefting them reminded me of just how weighty they are.
My entire living room is now spread around our 1 bed apartment. We have things in the bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. Oh for a bigger home......
HEY YOU!!!! Up against the wall punk!!
New positioning after redecoration & new carpet. Emkens are now firing down the length of the room 1.5' from the side walls and backs as close as I can get 'em.
Bottom end is fuller but seems less agile. Maybe I'm just not used to the sound that way or I guess its a bit of boom from being close to the wall?
I'll live with them as they are to get used to the sound and then see if I want to take part in the 'speaker shuffle' - rules are: One gentleman to one Emken, keep a safe distance between bodies to maintain modesty, heads up and place you hand on the your Emken's shoulder, not the back. Also, no cutting in!!

I LOVE big boxes gettin some respect.
My little toe disrespected an Emken this morning - cue

Lesson learnt: Don't disrespect 100lb(?) of P10 design!!
I can relate on that one JRKO. I was moving one time when I was about 17 and had a pair of heavy solid wood cabs. One of them slid from my hands and the corner of it hit right at the center of my big toenail.. The pain was unbelievable, and my toenail remained blackened for the best part of two years! I think the only other pain I've experienced that was almost as closed as that, was a nosebleed a doctor tried to cauterize with a silver nitrate stick (I think), that's when I was 17 too.. Damn that was a bad year to be me lol..

not as painful as telling your dad you didn't want his old junk, then letting him get rid of some mint condition goodmans axiom 201's, only to find out a few years later whilst browsing this site that they're quite good and exchange hands for some decent $$$$
I'd relate that more to mental and pocketbook anguish😉. Mine was both physical pain and mental anguish
