Lab Craft Type 605 Scandinavian Turntable Headshell Issue?

A week has gone by, and I'm getting desperate for news from the TT front, Cliff.

Do you still have a screw loose 😀, or have you discovered that the platter won't turn?

P.S. If you can't find a suitable screw, then you could use use a Sticky Fixer to hold the cartridge mounting plate to the headshell - at least as a temporary measure.

I've found that isopropyl alcohol dissolves the adhesive to make subsequent removal easier.

Hi Galu.
Sorry for my absence on the TT.
My unusually high activity of late was due to the luxury of time off work recovering from surgery.
Sadly I've been thrust back into the burdon of working long hours and family responsibilities.

I'll keep my momentum going but it'll need to be more organised.
The screw problem is one of the roadblocks but the adhesive strips is an excellent idea. 👍

Back to the turntable, would you really want to use the built in preamp when the amplifier amost certainly has a superior one behind its MM inputs?

As soon as I can I'll get the TT hooked up to an Amp and give it a listen.
Then I can report again.
