Regular low thermal factor stuff:
Seifert in Germany.
Conrad in Australia.
There's a company overhere that sells special heatsinks and does custom heatsinks, but you will need to bring a suitcase filled with cash.

konst said:you could try wrapping the heatsink in layer or two of dense glasswool or perhaps cottton wool, that should sort out the microphony and hey presto, instant audiophile heatsink

It is perhaps an idea to stick rubberstrips between the fins, just as Yamaha does on my motorcycle cylinders.

Hi guys!
Do you rememder that some months back I told you about a guy that makes placks (?) and signs?
Anyway, I made a minor misstake on my casing and needed a way to cover it, look what arrived in the mail today.
Just to cover my a** I would like to say that I don't know the guy or have anything to do with him. I just thought that I should post here if anyone was intrested and if you are, then I would be happy to handle some orders and negotiate prices.
Have a look and tell me what you think.
the smaller one is 20x40mm and the larger (pimpversion 😀 ) is 40x80mm.

Loek,
you could stick the amp to the motorcycle, instant watercooling.
When are you heading this way again for beer and getting a headache from my usual yakadiyak ?

another:
btw:
I payed about 7$ for the small one. But that was just for that one, one should be able to drop the price with some more signs.
Oh, there made out of Acrylic plasic. Sorry, don't remember the correct name but you'll probably know what i mean.
There are other materials avaialble as aluminium in different colours.
Swedish link but full of examples.

(mods, I hope that this is ok)

Hi KMJ,
I'd be interested in some aluminium ones. All about 20mm high and length to suit.
BUT, Klone must be spelt with a "K"
Krell KSA50 Klone, 2off.
Leach 130st , 3 off
Crimson 1704st, 3off.
If interest improves maybe this becomes a winner.

D**n, I spelled wrong???
perhaps I'm a bit dense, but I don't get it... 130st 1704st?, Leach, Crimson?
Edit:
Note that mine are not aluminum but plastic with aluminumfinish.
Pure aluminum costs quite a bit more.

Then the "C" is OK?
But what was the rest? All the leech, Crimson, 130st 1704st and such?
Btw, Al
We could ask if it's possible to get a pink one too 😉

Hi Kmj,
my existing Crimson amplifiers have no badging so "Crimson 1704st" would make a matching style to the rather special "Krell Klone" badge.
Similarly a "Leach 130st" would be nice for the 5.1 system that I am just starting, based on the Leach thread.

ah, it was the small "st" that messed things up. I automaticly read it as 130pc of Leach badges since "st" means styck (pieces in swedish). Wrong language, I know
But anyway, with some more intrest it would not be impossible to put something together.

Nice badge!
Nice badge KMJ. For price comparison my badge, which is aluminum with white etching, cost about $19.00 from frontpanelexpress.com. Yours almost looks engraved and is much more fine and detailed. The detail on mine is, in my opinion, at the limits of the machinery used as you can just see some small pitting and such on the metal.
(if you look carefully at the pic you will notice that there is no white etching, this was a mistake and they sent me another one correctly done for free which is shown in other pics on the site).
Do not be confused about "klone" vs. "clone". Here at the Krell thread people intentionally want to misspell "clone" with a "K" to make I guess a better visual appearance.

Heat sinks
I have a few (3) big heatsinks for free to anyone willing to pay shipping.
I will see if I can get a digital camera (I sent the Cannon D50 off with the ex. I miss the D50.
) and take a picture.
I would rather NOT ship OCONUS (outside the continental US) but if your willing to pay shipping....

KrellKsa50Kone? 😀
Well, that C can be changed for the KKK (took my baby away) 🙂
I have been known to listen to a song now and then, yes 😀Ha, another Ramones fan!
How much do they weight?what will shipping be?🙂I would rather NOT ship OCONUS (outside the continental US) but if your willing to pay shipping....

Going airmail may be cheaper for one piece. But, if you are looking for multiples, the small flat rate Global Priority Mail envelope is $5.50.
Some countries do not accept GPM, Greece and Turkey that I know of. The other gotcha with the small GPM envelope is that you cannot print postage on line. The USPS hasn't updated their website to reflect its availability.
Hope that helps

One is like Al's Blue one only in gold and about 18 -24" (that's right the US is not metric 😀 ) long and weighs about 10 pounds.
Then I have one or two that are 6-8 inches wide x 16-18 long and 1.5 inches tall(fins).
Again, I will try to get a few pictures when I return from a weekend trip.
