This wouldn't look so bad if a small board were done to allow it to be connected to the back of the existing board. Could you please post your design so I could try it???

The resistor values are set up for +Vrail=+52Vdc and Zener=20V, 400mW.
The other CCS will use a PNP pair and the polarised components are reversed.

Is there any advantage to swapping out R1=220r and replacing with 270r//2kpot to allow accurate setting of the LTP tail currents?
