Since we can add or change what we want, we surely can change the fan ?!
But I will use 2pcs for my stereo amp, 1 heatsink for each channel.
8x T0-3's per channel.
Also I can order the heatsink in rawprofile 1 meter for those who want to make their own heattunnel.

Made a little PCB "Power Control Module"
First version, any ideas are welcome.
Don't know if anyone make these, but I didn't found any.
Power Control Module v0.1
Made in Eagle Light, all files can be posted.
Q203 & Q204 can have a Heatsink if needed.

Well, I am interested at the $210 price......even though I have yet to finish my KSA50, and haven't gotten past populating my boards for the KSA100.

rjkdivin, I specified 2 for you. Am I correct?
KSA100.2 versus 150
Gentlemen
Some time back I made a posting re the sonic attributes about a Krell 150. My initial impression was the KSA100.2 was better.
We had some thunder and rainstorms in Cape Town and somehow it must have triggered the amp to switch on whilst I was at work. Needless to say I came home and the amp was cooking hot.
I started listening and I was extremely impressed. I have not heard a amp sound so good in a long time. I have to withdraw my previous comments. This amp is stunningly good.
Now I am just wondering what will happen if I leave the KSA100.2 on for a day....
On a more serious note- does anybody have an explanation how this process works ?
Regards to all

The last goldplated MK-G KSA100 boards have found a home, the very posh KSA builders club now includes a Bulgarian member.
Just a reminder :
anyone with a desire to build the KSA100-MKII is welcome to contact me for 1N5309 CRD's, still plenty left for a number of stereo sets.
(i sell fish too, though the mackerel is a bit off lately)

I would like to know If there are preferable sets of mosfets - irfd, zetex A, G, or smd
and also are these good for output http://www.mospec.com.tw/pdf/power/MJ15003.pdf

The 15003/4 are 70's technology 😉 and they will work... but only you have nothing newer available.
Their DC gain at 5A is a good 60% lower than 80's/ 90's stuff like mj21193/4/5/6, but they are better than the 15024/5 in that regard.

15003/4 are the original fets for that amp
I just like to know about that manufacture mospec is it ok
also if there are better outputs for use with sa968 and sc2238 and mje15030 and mje 15031 to use please don't shy to tell

Why would we shy.... they were the original "FET's" right?

What is a good source for hook up wire for output stage of this project? I'm like to use something like 10-12 awg OFC in teflon jacket.

Jacco,
Do you mean "PTFE Silver Plated Copper Wire"? Is it silver plated OFC?
No he means "da man" Steve over at apexjr.

Yes he has that Silver plated copper cable insulated with that taboo word stuff..
He also has some small conductor co-ax and shielded twisted pair for the signal input too!
