Re: fake op
I have been looking in eleshop several times and have not bought any output devices yet. but I have asked them and they have two types. toshiba and fairchild outputs both 2SC5200 and 2SA1943. they are selling the fairchilds at higher price probably these are originals?
rlg_200 said:hello guy,
fyi, 2sc5200, 2ca1943 absolutely fake if the part number can easy to read. i bought in eleshop raon. when I powered it to my amp my fuse blown. just for curious I cracked it and I found that the die is undersized.
there is one transistor the part number is hard to read, but no idea if it is genuine. according to the store (eglo electronics supply) it is original daw. I dont think so the price is cheap php 90. huh
rlg 😉 😉 😉

So far, the parts I got from Alexan, Deeco, Orient are working good. As far as I know, original power parts are laser marked. Another criteria if a part is fake is its wieght. We can compare it with the datasheet.
gud am to all,
xaudiox,
currently I have some couple left in my drawer enough
for a Leach Low TIM power amp......
I do need more for my next project , maybe when I'm done with the Leach
Ill be in touch.
thanks,

hello heinrich,
I the pro8001,8001,9001 which one should i mail to you?
The original Toshiba 2SC5200,2SA1943 has a golden brown marking that can be easily rub off and the metal die is not so shiny. I got mine for 90 pesos each.
Best Regards,
audiomachines

ok lang, medyo busy sa work...malamig na sa umaga at gabi dito pero sa november pa ang snow😀
balak nilang magclone ng high powered amp sa thread na to, baka makatulong ka sa pag-layout ng pcb?😀
@all,
ferds can help you lay-out a professional looking board for a professional amp using protel software, we can do a group buy of boards from a pcb manufacturing house. FYI, i participated in a group-buy for leach 6 transistor amp and cost was U$11, not bad i would say....
Re: ESP 1.5K power amp
sorry, i have not built this nor do i intend to, afaik, this article was not meant to be taken seriuosly. at this power levels, class G or H would be better, than class AB. but then who's to keep you from pursuing this.
😀

1.5 KW amp
ok thanks tony, maybe you could recommend us here a good class H design which is also fairly affordable.

re typhoon:
fine over here, just the life with no power and water for a few days is a nightmare. but we managed to live through it. 🙂
re ESP amp:
someone at the ESP forums have posted that he built it. can't remember the thread title but it's somewhere in there.....
edit: here's the thread..... the one who has built it posted on the last page.

hi,
yes somebody had build it but just +-115Vdc I guess
with some tweakings done
hope to one someday but maybe class H
yet I'm not building anything with higher rails (higher than 100vdc) unless operating
principles are understood.

my personal choice is that anything above several hundred watts, I prefer to go class D since at those powers, it is very difficult to get huge heatsinks over here. and the power saved by efficiency is greater.
you could say that it is much more difficult to get class D parts here.....but I order them online as kits so there you go. 🙂

hi,
class D?
if only these amps are cheap why not...
its so efficient and very light that delivers huge amount of power
but its price is so opposite
😱
