If you mean, omit the connection between amp commons and earth (earthed chassis), I would not recommend that. If you have a fault develop in the amp somewhere, it's possible for your output common to carry high voltage. It would drain through the connection to your power amp, but that connection is not secure. For safety, the amp common should have its own secure low impedance connection to earth. You can lift this connection, as described earlier, if you are concerned about ground loops. If you lift it, you must size the resistor or diodes so that your fuse will go well before the resistor or diodes.
Try just a wire connection first. You may find it works fine.
