That ocean company is doomed. The dead were all billionaires.
Science has progressed. We now know Sigourney weawer was wrong, it is not only "in space no one can hear you scream". In Ocean too ! Paradigm has changed.
but i can imagine the distress of the woman who lost his husband and son ! I didn't like at all the aire left countdown ! Mass medias became crazy, and this is a french who is in love of the first american amendment that say this. (no political input)
Her husband and son. It is not difficult.
Maybe it is better not to make jokes about people that died only recently. That they were rich does not take away the pain of their friends and family.
Suppose the owner would have invited 4 homeless people for free. Would that make matters different?
BTW the submersible imploded long before oxygen was supposed to be depleted.

It was just to illustrate the tittle of the thread about intelligence and culture.
I think it is staying one coffin for 4 people as well. But about the price, well I always loved more the modest funerals ! My arrogant* side !

It was a tragic event, and totally preventable.Maybe it is better not to make jokes about people that died only recently. That they were rich does not take away the pain of their friends and family.
They probably would have had the good sense not to go.Suppose the owner would have invited 4 homeless people for free. Would that make matters different?

That is interesting. I also thought people that have become rich would be able to see the many red flags. Also one would assume that they would do some research before making such a decision.
Maybe the poor 4 people would have done that indeed and politely have refused the generous offer. Fascinating.

Maybe ego is a red filter. 😉I also thought people that have become rich would be able to see the many red flags.

Young men are typically the ones who feel invincible. Old men may have a mid-life crisis and need to do something risky?
This would have been the opportunity to ask that in interviews done before the descent.
It can also be seen looking at bungee jumping, jumping out of airplanes etc. Maybe it is better most are not rich.

You edit posts faster than their own shadow 🙂
yup, sorry, It is not to loose the main frame when I make two things at the same time, I can often improve by editting cause the poor level of english, so I add illustrations or I delay the talk. The talk must stay poor because of that or by stupidity, perhaps both, go figure. I can feel flooded.
This descent* was not *d

But original funerals, I am waiting the next space tourists !Probably but money does not buy one everything.
It's not just that, you have to have the appropriate standards. I bet the peeps who designed the hardware and wrote the code for Boeing's MCAS would have had no problem flying on the 787-MAX - they clearly lacked basic safety knowledge such as having redundant and backup systems.Which plane I would fly is unanswerable without knowing the skills of the designer. Actually, I wouldn't fly in the plane unless both flew with me, lol.
That Stockton Rush guy flew his own plane he designed and made, but like his submersible, it was "experimental" and had no certification:
