Whether you are a highly informed connoisseur on a subject or a very smart person at all, it seems still not enough.
Your own experience is another important element to add, as well as your beliefs and the ability to face the "new".
Yet I know graduate engineers with top marks and industry experts at the highest levels of experience who are dumb, if you know what I mean.
Learning about the human capabilities is a wonderful journey, but there’s still something missing...
What makes someone a really special person?

Public relations.
Previously known as 'propaganda'.
Passion and motivation are two different things Passion is an emotion, love for our hobby. Motivation is different. Let me put it this way. I have passion for going to the gym, but i don't feel motivated to do it today. Thats where perseverance and discipline are king. You know you don't feel like doing it, but you do it anyway. And that gives results. Not motivation. It is fleeting. Then we must be meaning different things by this word 'motivation'. My passion for electronics has lasted decades.
I have passion for going to the gym, but i don't feel motivated to do it today.
I don't recognise this in my experience. Unless 'gym' is a concept which is approved of, in which case it ain't passion for the gym.
It was a blatant example. Don't read between the lines If you want to take it as banal example, i'll simplify it more, i have passion for keeping up good health and for that reason i go to the gym, but i don't feel motivated to do so today. But i still go as thats what discipline is. Motivation wouldn't drag me to the gym today because it wasn't there, even though i have passion for my health. I cannot draw it more simply than this Discipline > motivation any time.
I'm saying, read up on dictionary for meaning of words, since we are writing words here you stated that motivation and passion are the same, i disagree, as would dictionary of English language. Now, i gave you examples, as simply as they can be, you can interpret those as you want, that i cannot influence at
What you are describing as heart towards something is passion. And that is not the same as motivation. Motivation is not love. It is not the same feeling, nor the same emotion. I love my wife, but i don't feel motivated to talk to her right now as we had an argument, but i will talk to her as i know that is good for our love. I don't have a lack of passion/love/heart (you name it) for my wife, just a lack of motivation in that particular situation. And yes, use your mind, don't rely purely on fleeting sensation that is motivation. It even rhymes 😁 We are "complete" beings after all, we don't let our emotions get the best of us.

Dictionaries don't give meanings, they give definitions - they explain words in terms of other words. Meanings are altogether deeper things for which words are merely signposts. As we seem so separated by words, I'll call it a day here.
Yes, search upon meaning of words as well, you'll get the same answer. You could say i also gave you the meaning of those words trough my several examples.
I have to disagree with you, and i don't usually speak in absolutes (which i hate), but i am right on this one I can only implore you to read up on examples i gave you, without reading (quoting) between the lines.

Let's add a couple more to the mix:
Luck and intention
Luck seems to be a bit 'Voodoo' - like harnessing some kind of belief system that may assist in being successful. If someone says they were lucky, they implicitly acknowledge others around them, so it's a bit more wholesome than being "superficially successful yet oblivious".
Intention seems closely related, in that your goal is aligned to fit into some greater puzzle. Just earlier, someone confided to me about having financial struggles, and I thought gosh, how do we fix that? How do we make it so that people feel prosperous? Similar things have been weighing on my mind, too, but there are often other ways than competitive zero-sum games.

The context is a bit unclear to me?
If it's just about being successful in a sense of a brand an sales, than it's mostly marketing.
But as for on a personal level, I would say that special people fully understand the nuances and context as well as having an eye for the bigger picture.
I have seen so many intelligent people who just totally miss the boat there.
Sometimes whole teams discussing silly technical details for weeks on end that are not of any significant importance.
In my personal work experience, there is also very poor correlation between having good marks/grades/degree and how "smart" people actually are.
I had classmates that graduated cum laude/with honors, I wouldn't hire them for a cent these days.
They were very good in learning exams, but not in being a good engineer.

The context is that your view is important here. The context is a bit unclear to me?
My partial view is that a special person has to have many qualities or maybe even a few, but very accentuated, and I would like to find out what these qualities are in your views.
Any kind of qualities is allowed, of course...

Yes, what do you think they missed?
