Klein Bottle enclosure

Hi. I'm reopening this thread to ask about a klien Bottle enclosure I've seen on Thingiverse page to see if anyone has any ideas about it and how one might go about calculating/modeling this type of enclosure?

I'm thinking of printing one out to try with a decent 2" driver. But I've just found I have some TC9FD-18-08 on the shelf, so was wondering about scaling up this enclosure to try out. Any thoughts?
Dave, did you ever try this out? I'm about to bite the bullet scaling up for my holey baskets.

after checking out Acme Klein Bottles i was wondering if the shape could be used as an enclosure for a fullrange driver possibly creating a backloaded horn assuming an exit is created.:scratch1:

i do want a klein stein for a beer mug!:p
I was going to print that out and changed my mind. I could not get over the the chamber covered up 70% of the horn mouth, maybe that was not an issue. So I designed this to print in one piece on my printer. I have printed a few pairs. The drivers are Eminence alpha 8. These are 2 inch speakers and are 8 ohms.

Very nice! I bit the bullet and am printing a scaled up version of the Klein Bottle to use with the Coral Holey Baskets. I only have PLA basic on hand, and did a 25% infill just to see if its worth bothering with a better filament and more infill. Have you measured with different filaments on your multiple versions?

I printed them using basic PLA. I have not measured them all. I used 25% infill on them. The walls are 8.5 mm thick. Wonder how big you need to scale them for the holey baskets. I printed a a pair of open baffles for my holey basket. I found out one of them was damaged. It sound like the dust cover has loud screeching sound to them when pushed them in wattage.. here is a picture of the open baffle. The baffles were spherical shaped. The one damage speaker I could not stand listening to them.

Galu,

Thanks!
I will see if I can "find the time" to contemplate the cutting of the Klein Bottle.

My dad had Mobius Strips in his feedmill.

They transmitted power from one wheel to another wheel.
Having the Mobius "Twist" in them meant that the edge wear and tear, and the surface wear and tear, . . . was equal all along the strip.

Lastly, you never see two doctors together, that would be a Paradox.

Print is done, and I couldn't wait to try one out. I had to print in two plates and reassemble since my printer isn't that large. Its paired with the sibling holey in an open baffle.

Hard to make any real observations at this point except that it makes noise and looks great :)
