Meta ... these long channels will do some dampening. And when there are no reflexions - why not.
First thing I did was closing that resonator - it's pretty bad what's coming from there in the midrange. And filling up with absorption should help for the remaining resonances.
In all measurements you find the edge defraction ... what a pain these "modern" hard edges for speaker design. I thought about gluing some nice 25mm wood at the sides + top with a 25mm radius, this should help the cabinet and fight the edge reflection.
But for my use in the home cinema I have to build completely new cabinets anyway ... let's see if I can find the time to fiddle around with the original one.
