I cut a tendon in my left arm with an angle grinder while at work. I get the cast off Monday and hopefully will have more operational control of my left hand. It happened last Tuesday and I have been dealing with the ripple it created in the business, of which I am the owner. I apologize for the inconvenience for all who are waiting. Ordered some parts that i needed to finish the boards so all is here and ready to go when i regain usable control of my left hand.
angle grinders are most insidiuous...i already cut myself once and never saw it coming...
best of luck.
best of luck.
I get an official release from the doctor on the 12th. I have redone the boards to fix prior errors and should get them in a couple of weeks. I think the best answer is first week of January. This is to allow for board arrival, soldering time, and holidays. I could say earlier, but it is unlikely as I will be covered up at work having once again gained operational freedom. I will come up with some sort of compensation for your wait.
Once I get our new address, I'll send you a new shipping address for my order as the company I work for closed down our office building and are in the process of relocating.
Wishing you the best on your recovery.

Here is Rev.2. It will be appx. 20-25 days. I had to make some changes to proto to account for trace errors. This one is error free as well as having slightly different layout. I added SMD Schottky diodes as I preferred them in another build. Ground lifts were also added.
aurthur,
If you cannot wait i will return your money. It is up to yuo.

Buzz, have you tried the lskpre with the F4 ? I'm am in doubt about using this one or the ba3 as preamp.
No, but I imagine it would sound quite nice. In reality, they are both excellent designs and it is more about personal choice. This has the potential to make for an excellent FE to the F4. You could even drop the buffer stage and add it in the same case as the F4.
The preamp will feature the salas simplistic inside and probably some sort of relay based input/attenuattor solution, it will be hard to fit everything inside the power amp case.
I guess I'll have to try both... 🙂

Put the pot in front of the LSK or BA3 and the need for the simplistic goes away. That being said, it is a very nice piece of gear and is worth the effort to build. You could keep it as volume control and just have a switchable gain stage for the F4, LSK or BA3

Looks nice, but no room for a big audiophile cap ;-)
