I am opening this up for those interested in getting some boards. I was planning on ordering 20 sets. I will post a BOM later. This is a pre-curser to an eventual balanced version if i like what I hear.

Chances are you will not like what you hear. I believe you meant precursor.
Interested, but as I'm hopelessly addicted to balanced audio and have plenty of 2SK170/2SJ74 it might not be what I'm looking for.
Here is BOM for stereo pair. I can purchase the BF 862 in a reel and match if interested, I haev found that when these things are purchased in qty and are in factory packaging, they tend to be fairly tightly matched. I also have the MUR 860 leftover from a previous GB, as well as some of the Vishay caps, if anyone is interested. It looks like a stereo pair of boards will be $35

Bakanced is very nice. I am looking at a way to make a bridge between two boards, but i do not know if it is feasible in an effective way. I will be doing a balanced version, as I said, if these sound as good as Juma has stated.
I'm interested in buying a set of boards and any additional parts you decide to sell in relation to the LSK preamp.
Hi Buzz.....
I want a pair (x1 stereo set) provided you can arrange for supply and soldering of all sm components. [If not I shall go ttw route.] Many thanks.

The board house wants $20 per board to solder the SMD components. I am hesitant to force all to do so. What do you guys think? If just a few need this help, I can arrange to do so personally for similar price. We will see if there is a consensus one way or the other.
Sounds good Buzz - either way as long as those little zits are in place when it arrives.
Please shout when you need some $s...and allow for UK postage in my case. We'll have to have that pint as discussed a while ago on ZM's looney thread!!

Ill collect after everything is ready to go. Chinese holiday is coming up, so gotta hurry. I would love to have a pint, problem is, when i go to the pub, i usually have to be carried out🙂
A stereo pair would be great! Also interested in getting the smd parts mounted. Also want to buy whatever other parts you are offering, matched of course!
( I just got some SMD boards to solder up, and I've got no proof if I'm up to the task or not.)

I'll take you up on the offer and price to have the SMD compondents soldered.
I will probably be in for a soldered one with matched parts as well... Buzz.. anyway you could post your PCB layout?
Thanks,
Thanks,
I'm in for a stereo set and hard to find parts for the build. I don't need smd presoldered, but will take it if that's the only option.
are the 2 pairs of jfets paralleled in the input there to allow the use of bl range devices? Couldn't we get away with one bl pair?
I have two suggestions:
Arrange input pairs to allow thermal coupling with zip tie arrangement.
Have a breakup line between the psu and line sections, this would allow to break of the psu section and use a single psu for both channels, for transformers with single secondary.
Ps: buzzforb, sent you a pm a couple of days ago, did you receive it?
