For the record, my first wife had a temper, and still does. She walked away from me, and I attempted to follow her from about 1 block away, but I was always afraid of physically accosting her, myself, as she claimed to have been taught judo by her father who had taught it to the FBI, for years. She is now 63, and they, now, call her GRANDMA, most of the time.
In the 1960's, electronic engineers in the USA were treated well and paid well. The Swiss franc at the time was 4:1, and bed and breakfast in England or Scotland cost 1 pound / night for student housing. The economic situation is rather different now.
Now, back to caps. Old measurements are just as reliable as NEW measurements. Keep that in mind, IF you want to learn about caps. Of course, a ceramic cap manufacturer would criticize mica caps, especially cheaply made ones. We are aware of this problem, ourselves.
