IF I was not on Prozac at this moment, I would pin a few ears back so badly that I would be banned from here, just on general principles. However, I keep my meds up, so I can 'roll with the insults and insinuations' to my friends and myself, and try to stay within guidelines.
Lighten up JC, I'd be surprised if anyone but you took the joke seriously. Perhaps the Prozac is having more effect thatn you realise ? BTW That is a question, not an implication.

Are you serious? What do you smoke up there?
Someone is joking about a defunct friend of John.
And it doesn't appear that this person knew the late Bob Crump (which would be kind of mitigating the joke)
I wonder what the moderators are doing here? Just deleting the posts?

Many here, especially my critics, may wonder why I ask these questions about complementary FET matching. It is not to be negative, but to show people who find these questions difficult, that they are significantly behind on how the BLOWTORCH, AYRE, and many other fet topologies actually work, and the problems we have solved over the decades.
I would think that it should be a prerequisite that a certain level of understanding should be attained, before judging what you didn't design, and really don't know much about.

John, with all due respect, it is this type of posturing and psuedo intellectual self agrandizement by you, Charles and your lackies that just pisses off other forum members.
JFETS are ok, but they're not the only way to get great sound . . . . if they were, only JFET input amps would ge t good reviews. But they don't. So do Bipolar input amps.
I guess your response will be 'well what to other designers, equipment reviewers or purchasers know?'

Perhaps on an IC they can do better, but probably worse given the tricks necessary. I think its better to design around those limitations than worry about them.
Holes are from Mars and electrons are from Venus, complimentarity will always be a trade-off.
Weren't there two kinds of electrons, bad ones and good ones?
Where come the bad ones from, Pluto?
NB: For those who lack any sense of humor, this is a joke.

Are you sure? Uranus is the god of the sky, while Pluto stands for Hades, the god of the Underworld.
Apparently, the 'critics' don't have any answers to these fet questions. IF I were an instructor on fet design, I would conclude that they lack the prerequisites to contribute here as TA's.

Apparently, those 'critics' don't need and don't want JFETs, in particular obsolete parts.

What about input current, Edmond?

Odd that you mention it. It used to be my hobby, but the dead
languages piled up too fast for me.
