Thanks Zung, I’ll look into it.......should I get the extra set of tips?

They cost less than $4 a piece and come in nearly 30 flavors. If you can resist the urge to get all of them 🙂, buy at least an extra fat one for the big stuff and a fine one for the PCB.

It looks pretty good and really a value (almost the same price as a single Metcal tip). The English in the writeup is pretty challenged but I'm sure its pretty obvious how to operate when you use it. Any complaints now that you have some experience with it?

The main complaint is they're not built like a tank (or a Weller), so you probably don't want to stomp on them. And yes, Google Translation is not as good as they say, just ignore all the verbiage and you're fine. Once you have the thing in your hands, the operation is pretty much self explanatory.

For me, the main selling point is the thermal management: very quick to reach operating temperature, literally seconds, fine tuning of the said temp, and, because it's so fast, there's no thermal inertia to worry about, i.e. when soldering big cables or connectors, the thing just keep on dumping current/heat like there's no tomorrow.

my ears have always been my most trusted tool that’s why I reject all these bias bs stories.
You are regurgitating one of the most popular audiophoolery mantra "trust your ears" while using ears and eyes both.
Oh, please, he his in my ignore list and he knows-it. I only read-him when he is quoted, while he seems to be on my legs at each of my posts.
I thought I knew.

EH, I really don’t give a hairy hind end.....that’s what you don’t get!

What do you want me to say....

‘oh my goodness, my entire life has been a lie, thanks for pointing that out.....my table radio now sounds as good as any system I’ve ever heard thanks to your enlightenment’

Your killin me, what I hear is sound as I know it......plain and simple.

Too simple, thats the point. Everyone gets you dont care, do you get that your uneducared OPINION has become worthless and we dont care? This thread has not only become useless, its become boring. The lunatics have taken over the asylum. Goodbye.

Don't let me or anyone else stop you from enjoying your audio system. I wasn't trying to. However, I responded to your post (not your enjoyment of your audio system) on this forum. If you are bothered by someone reacting to your action on public forum, that's like being bothered that the sun came up in the morning.

Y’all respond with the same crap over and over......I think I get the skipping cd reference now!
So far I’ve got the designer and one of your chief executive objectivists (pavel), on board with some possible fix’s, if you don’t have anything productive to add then I suppose I really don’t need your help......I figure I’m gonna get it anyway but i reckon it’s the cost of doing business here.

Oh yah......and Dan out of kindness is walking me through it, kindly like what the whole diy community is supposed to be.
