Sorry guys, sex aside, I still find improvements in audio quality and design to be most interesting to me. I suspect that most of you have given up on this and are only here for other reasons.
This week, I had Jack Bybee over and we ran some tests on some of his latest stuff. It did allude to noise measurement, but we still can hear the difference, so we are still looking as to why. We are actually working to improve even the best audio systems, and to a great extent, have succeeded.
Yes there is more to know and try than what is typically accepted as good engineering design.
On a standard engineering topic, Jack gave me a METCAL soldering iron and several tips. I find it a serious improvement over my Weller irons that I have used over the decades. Anybody else here use one?

Are you sayin' that you and/or JB don't have measurements ?.
What is his latest gadgetry ?.
I have been doing some measurements on my filter....static signal measurements aren't showing anything solid.
Sonic Visualiser is showing some interesting stuff with music signals and line level send/return loop recordings, Diffmaker is pulling out -40dB changes.
Next step is to bridge across loudspeaker terminals.....reactive load shows audible differences more clearly, interestingly.

Dan.
