Richard, I am reminded of the late 60ies movement of the (then) new wave of French philosophers, who said: God is dead, Marx is dead, and I'm not feeling too well myself. 😀
I think I have mentioned my father used to say "If you are past 40 and wake up in the morning feeling fine, you can stay in bed all day, because you are dead."
Four days left, then everyday is Saturday which is enough for me.
Ed - My wife bought me a workbench for Christmas to put in my loft it's so heavy the casters have grease fittings.

There is not enough information in this summary to truly convince me of a correlation. As we all know, study design is critical. However, I tend to agree with the results, for whatever reason.

Very soft. The cell phone companies called it the "hearing/feeling" test. I found even the worst bit rate preserved timing accuracy BTW. I took 6000 and 6001 cycles in 100 sec at 16/44.1 and compressed it at 64k mp3, when expanded back to 16/44.1 the end zero crossing was perfect. Why would anyone be that curious about why a 32k mp3 doesn't sound as good as the original?

Interesting that none of the authors was a psychologist. Human subject testing for something like emotional response can be unintentionally affected by many subtle factors.
Also, the sample population was very small.
One has to wonder about the quality of some of the stuff that gets published.
