Sure, it was a joke...I did consider "Everything objective you ever wanted to know about wines in 900 pages....".I hope you realize how ironic this is.
Either way it is a useful summary of wine industry technical information for the novice wine connoisseur.....me.
This is quite the equivalent of the SS vs Tube debate, in that technical flaws can be acceptable, and indeed desired and coveted......by some but not all. It's like me posting links to EE texts. The text book winemakers at UC Davis once decided Chateaux d'Yquem is inherently flawed because is has detectable volatile acidity. There are numerous examples of recognized great wines that have technical flaws according to propeller-headed chemists.
"There are numerous examples of recognized great audio items that have technical flaws according to propeller-headed EE's." is another truth.
I find it interesting that wine long term history/taste can be altered by local field conditions recent history....ie the behavior/taste of wines is quite dynamic.
I am finding similar history/memory behavior in audio systems, past history can be overridden by recent history.
Burn In CD etc signals provide a system lower level global reset.

Is this the equivalent of neutrino absorption in the wine affecting the flavor?

They've tried gamma rays, surprise surprise ionizing radiation changes chemical composition so does heat or intense light.
Gamma? Is Bruce Banner a big wine drinker? Who are these people, wine enthusiasts desperately willing to experiment or scientists that want free drinks from spoiled attempts?

I have no idea the SOTA, but I'm betting that irradiating wines for spoilage isn't too popular. But why wouldn't they try it?!

Dunno, but I do find that the PB sound of my old Android phone music player is changeable according to the charging cable used, and the change persists after the cable is disconnected. Is this the equivalent of neutrino absorption in the wine affecting the flavor?
Ditto wav files transferred sound different according to the USB cable used.

You might want to see a doctor. Especially for the bolded part of that quote. It can be PROVEN that the file is identical (or not).
The only possible explanation is that you are truly delusional.
Unknown to me my guys made some videos about what we do!
Ed, those are DAMN impressive videos! Congratulations and sincere best wishes.

Well, I was a little harsh there, but I think this illustrates perfectly why no one should put any stock in the anecdotal accounts of sound quality.
For this to behave as you suggest it does, computers would not work, the internet would not work, airplanes would be falling from the sky, etc.

Thanks Mark. I will pass along the compliment to my crew.

The USB cables quoted are not standard USB cables.

Do you understand how a file copy works? I don't care if they are USB cables made of chicken wire. The file either copies or doesn't and you can verify the contents of the file afterward.
I mean, really. This is pretty funny. What kind of magic state information do you think a WAV file contains after it's been copied. It's a header and some PCM sample data. Do your MS Word documents get their text altered if you copy them?
I'll be happy to sell you some magic USB cables though if you want. 🙄

Perhaps that's it - Max types a post to here and it gets altered by unknown forces... 😀
Also, we're still waiting for the example files he said he'd provide...

I've been through all of this before, the files are identical binary files as reported by file checker app.Do you understand how a file copy works? I don't care if they are USB cables made of chicken wire. The file either copies or doesn't and you can verify the contents of the file afterward.
Yes really, my experiments suggest that encoded in the binary data there are deeper information states that modify the noise behavior of the playback system.I mean, really. This is pretty funny. Haha, the messages are transmitting just fine, the problem is in the reception side lol.Perhaps that's it - Max types a post to here and it gets altered by unknown forces... 😀

Still getting back to that, I will reveal a bunch of stuff when I'm ready.

offtopic 🙂 Samsung is buying Harman
I saw that. At a premium! I expect the pro division to be spun off, resold or just go away. Going to get interesting.
What they say is different.
Nevertheless, the numbers show that Harman’s automotive section is what interests Samsung.

Considering the amount of buffers the binary data goes through, how can this be... This invisible data would also have to be passed through numerous devices on its paths from a to b, this does not happen. The charging cable one is priceless... and finally define a non standard USB cable, do you mean some audiophile monstrosity that does not conform to the USB spec, because if it is a USB cable then it MUST conform to the USB cable spec, if not then it is not a USB cable, simple as...
We are back in "Dark Bits" territory, similar ideas have been put forward before on this site, all total rubbish to support some new super audiophile idea or dodgy add on to improve the sound, the electronic equivalent of the emperors cloths.
Some real information regarding this phenomena would be appreciated.
Hi Marce.Considering the amount of buffers the binary data goes through, how can this be... This invisible data would also have to be passed through numerous devices on its paths from a to b, this does not happen.
I find it does. Like I have suggested previously it could be to do with write and read performance of flash type memory.
Old saying "When is a clock not a clock ?"..."When it goes through a logic gate."
The USB cable is a length of standard old school 4 wire indoor telephone cable with Ebay USB A and USB Micro plugs fitted.....similar enough cable and plugs to standard elcheapo/oem premade cables... and finally define a non standard USB cable
I have been spending time on other subjects, but info will come. Some real information regarding this phenomena would be appreciated.
