Those parts on pcb look fake to me.

I kind of doubt that. I bet its a real copy of MrCurls efforts being sold without his permission for profit.

Dale looks especially dubious. Don't be so sure. There are very many fake parts in circulation in general. If not in this case, there is a whole fake parts industry going on. Think of cents X millions.

Sorry for my input, but i can't see something special (according to today's standards) in this architecture. Except the improper (to not say abusive) use of the name of J.Curl.
Do you know something? J. Curl it is a helpfull person in people who makes an effort to build somethimg by itself and not clones.
Also your pcb drawing it is not proper. I have posted in a lot of other threads some rules for a good pcb drawing; and you must don't forget that the performance of the better circuit in this planet can be degraded from a bad layout drawing.
Me also i have published a big power project in this forum before 1,5 year without claiming that is something special except the extremely high supply level of +/-86Vdc. Also the pcb drawing and other instructions. Up today i have received a lot of e-mails from people trying to build it to i help them, but i don't received yet a message from anyone that he has finished with success the project.
I know that the main reasons for this are, the arbitrary replacement from people of parts from semiconductors up to the special arrangement of Fischer heatsinks - double Papst fans in a packet for forced air cooling.
The difference is found in that, me i am in position to modify this project with many ways because i have builded it from the scratch. A clone builder it is not in position to make the same. Except if he is a very expertised person. From the other hand, i don't know any expertised person who condescend to build clones.
A clone it seems like fast food. If you don't know from cooking, then you are forced to eat ready food cooked from other people with each thing that implies this.
I ask your forgiveness if my post presented as arrogant in your eyes, it is not my intention to do something such this.

Take it easy, don't be serious. My pcb is not a commercial item and I am not a professional person in this industry. I do this just for fun and try to make friends happy as audio diy is our hobby.

Sorry I don't have any figure. I think most of those people they suffered from counterfeit parts is only because they want to pay price lower than normal. There are so many stores in China have good reputation but their parts price is not cheap.

I am not making the JC-3 amp for the time being. I sent 4 sets of boards to 4 of my friends and they are now making the amp. They will let me know the sounding result of this amp as soon as they finish making it.

Do they play at the same level in same discipline?
Do not think so.
Not in my opinion.

To me John Curl rules pre amplifiers at best possible hi-fi level.
While KRELL will beat any Power Amp by JC.
Because this is what they are Better at.
Better 😎 than the very good John Curl.

Now, if I am wrong .. some body may .. and will correct me 😀
No doubt some one will ....
