Is this overkill for an F1?

I'm building an F1 and am considering using this as my power transformer:

Is this too much? If I do go this route will I need to buy different components than the ones listed in the BOM in this thread? Please help.

There's nothing wrong with an oversized transformer, if it fits your budget. This hobby is all about overkill. 🙂

I doubt you'll need to change anything. Could you point me to this BOM you speak of?

Ah, if I'm looking at the right BOM, it calls for a 450VA transformer.

I believe the original F1 used a 300VA transformer, so anything 300VA or larger should be just fine for a stereo amp.

Then step up to more overkill for far less money. I use their HV transformers in tube amps with no problems.

Thank you all for the help. The anteks look good. I will also explore RS. I'm sure I'll be able to settle on something with all these options.
