Cant stop building speaker boxes.
My house is nearly full.
What is the cure ?

Cure to the "cant stop building" or cure to the "full house"?

Instead of doing many different projects (which might be far from optimum and hence learn a little), I prefer perfecting the same projects (till I found the maximum). In this spirit, you can build many boxes for one speaker project and keep only the best one. Or, you can make a box that can be modified easily (the volume, the front baffle, the vent, the baffle width, etc).

Its the "cant stop building"
I get bored easy so need speaker or amplifier projects to fill my time.

I use glue on the boxes so once that is set there is no going back.

I am also working on a 250WRMS quasi complimentary amplifier module.
Just waiting for pcb's from China.

Also just bought a 1980's Maplin 50WRMS amplifier kit (unbuilt) so that's the next project.

Actually it is not that difficult to stop. Build until you have no more space (In 1 meter radius from where I sit, I have 5 different bookshelf speakers). It works for me.

Oops, it's 7 (make it 1.5 m radius) including 2 floorstanders (a transmission line and a TMWW)... 8, because one of the bookshelves is stereo...

Nigel. You are a serrious explorer. That's all. I know you are just stimiulting us into discussion as we all are the same and you want us to say so. How many times have you got rid of something them wished you hadn't? I have to and it hurts. Desert scrap yards are the ultimate example and Barry Island scrap yard when steam loco's. Thank goodness some can't help themselves. I am going to see a LMS 8F ( Turkish ) in two hours. I offered the lady £3M when I have saved up enough. It is in spray painted black and better than new.
