Excited to see the 15PR400 getting so much love as I've got some coming my way soon.
In case you haven't seen this:
Is it possible to cover the whole spectrum, high spl, low distortion with a 2-way?

I had missed that, thanks, any more details?

In this thread, no driver has received more love than the 15PR400, I believe.

Some information on the build here: Faital 15PR400, BMS 4594 MTM - Speaker Design - Data-Bass Forums

And that's very exciting, especially considering its price over here, which is remarkable 🙂

Lovely, thanks! Overkill for my situation but still nice to read.
I used the 15PR400 down to 50Hz in a sealed cab and hand over to a GR Research 12" feedback side firing sub.
Before I forget, compliments on the system Audio Elite!
Does the feedback in "feedback side firing sub" refer to active control of the sub aka Servo-Subwoofer and Motional Feedback?

The 15PR400 offers great value for money and it's on top of my list for a future project.
In my current cabs (that housed BD-15s before) they would also do very well.
However, as I showed in an earlier post, they wouldn't clearly beat my current woofers, apart from max. SPL capability.

I’m in Perth too. Welcome to pop around when I get my beyma towers in action again and compare notes. I’m getting worked up about all the positive info re the faital gear!

Thanks for the invite mate. I'm still in the very early stages here. Have had a serious case of analysis paralysis for a long time 😀
😉 Well spotted, Charles...and on closer inspection; the white stamped number at the top is 2426j.
This is not the driver that I was looking for, because the screw holes were not recessed on that one.

Anyone ever compare it to 15FX560? It’s about 50% more expensive.

IMHO it is not the price itˋs a matter of really good parameters and light cone of the 15PR400

The FX has stronger motor to compensate for the heavier cone, and almost double the excursion. Le is a bit lower as well. FX has modulation ring, the HF doesn’t. Seems to me the argument of really good parameters also goes for the FX..

FWIW, I was suggesting it awhile back for an econo Altec M19 and M500 clone, but neither got any love AFAIK.
