Interesting new Jericho 2023 using Dayton

I remember that closed box with 25cm system sounded OK but bass reflex ending too into the compression chamber of the Mauhorn with some added liters really gave the kick***

You had the impression that it can play unlimited loud

I used the wizard and set is a tapped horn with the driver between section 1 and 2.

It sounds like you may have used the Input Wizard to create the initial tapped horn record...

I wanted to slide the driver 14 cm into the horn but I can not get the sliders up.

To do that you would need to use the Loudspeaker Wizard, not the Input Wizard.

The ever so helpful David, thank you so much!
I have started to grasp the context dependent drop down menues.
Starting from the startpage not using a wizard and ended up with a frontloaded horn and a back chamber. It looks pretty good
I have the drawings but many with measurements are not marked. Angles and lenth of inner baffles are shown. I will draw it in full scale and then measure it. I will then divide the 5 sections of the horn into 4. I also have to change the layout a bit to accomodate a 16 cm diameter magnet.

So I should make an "offset driver horn" in the wizard, add a chamber and then I am all set to simulate?

Parallel sides with board dividers = parabolic.
Using the hypex approximation, and changing from exponential to parabolic, increases the volume substantially, by about 30 litres. If it were possible to put accurate dimensions for the segments making up the 194cm L23, the difference might be reduced using all the 4 allowable sections. Even so, it is a fairly large box and not sure whether the resulting response will be worth the woodwork compared to a tapered TL or bass reflex. It would be great to hear from those that have one in their listening room 🙂

i built them about 15 years ago, exactly to the drawings using Lowther ex4s, used with parallel 300b monoblocs, best speakers i ever had [including klipsch la scala i had before them], sold when i went abroad to work, back now so planning to make another pair
