Thanks Jan, I dabbled with Qspice early on but given quite a steep learning curve I thought I would see how it developed before deciding whether it was worth learning something new in detail. I did not even install Qspice on this W11 build I'm running... my loss I suppose.
From what I've seen, Mike implemented/is implementing a lot of good things in Qspice to make it run faster (it does for me) and improvements in models. He has a new opamp model where you just type in the data sheet values and it uses those.
But it's getting a bit harder to grok it all for an old farth like me.
If you are starting with spice from scratch, definitively give Qspice a try. It's also free.
