Hello! I have a question about a "Tripp Lite ISOBAR6ULTRA Surge Suppresor".if I have my amp connected to it...should I still need an "Inrush Current Limiting Thermistor" ? How is this one for it http://www.ametherm.com/datasheets/MS35-0R550_datasheet.htm
I see some people say 12ohm is for 120vac and 24ohm is for 240vac.and other say to use a lower ohms thermistor.I am not so sure witch one is the right one for a gainclone LM3875 using 20000uf per channel with a plitron transformer 22v x 2.I want to use one in the hot line and one in the neutral too(just in case) and is one enough or should I use two in series?.thank you guys.

I don't think you need one. My system has a 400W toroid with 14.1mF per rail. 5A slow blow fuse on primary and that's it.
using an inrush supressor is always a good option, you have a 400w tx (<2a at 220V) with a 5A fuse, the 5A fuse will blow in 2 seconds with a 10A load; this is a receipe for fire in the case of a fault.
use a 2A fuse and 2x 22R NTC thermistors, one live one neutral ( does't matter just easier tot fit) and all will be fine.

Hi Anthony,I do not find the ones you suggested 22R x 2 is this for 220v? (one in the Hot and one in the Neutral)on this web.Can you tell me the right one for my amp 120vac using 20000uf per channel and plitron transformer 22x2.I want to go for the safest mode as possible.I see they have the MS series(mega surge).I believe these MS thermistors are better.

To be honest using a thermistor on a Class AB amp is not a good idea as the current draw isn't constant. Also the thermistors will get hot and this is an extra hazard especially in a DIY design.
Well,so far I am blind with this thermistor.I got some math and I got around 8.5 ohms.I do not know if I am right. it is too bad that I never liked math. I need the help of the BIG fellas please.
