I bought a low end Weller soldering iron and it was terrible.
It got far too hot and went through a tip in2 days.
Where ever I have worked they had the old Weller soldering stations and they were rarely any trouble.
Gone back to my cheapo Antex 30 watt iron now and it does the job.
Tips last forever and had it about 5 years.
