Lets start this photosesion with AKKELIS, my ProAc klones.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

And then we can continue with GALTIS, my own construction using VIfa XT25, Scanspeak 18w/8545 and Scanspeak 18w/8535

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

And to end this photosesion with a "familypicture" of AKKELIS, GALTIS and the drivers and filtercomponents to REBNIS, my next project. REBNIS will be a standmount speaker usins SEAS drivers.

... but OT,
How do you post 3 pictures in one post? I didn't think it was possible.

You can post up to around 20 images with a post, if they are hosted off this website on the web somewhere. You just have to use image tags, instead of attaching the image to the file, which you are restricted to only 1.

GALTIS, anwsers to some questions

Thanks for all the kind word. I will try to answer some questions. The veneer on GALTIS is American cherry. GALTIS is a 3-way speaker and the tweeter and mid driver are playing in a sealed enclosure, the bass driver is playing in a reflexloaded enclosure. The angle off the speaker is 7 degrees. No I am not a pro but I really enjoy building speakers. AKKELIS is my first speaker, GALTIS my second. I have also helped a friend building a pair off AKKELIS.

Some links. Lets start with my Hifi pages:

Links to my DIY pages:

Link to the GALTIS building instructions.

Finaly, this is where GALTIS is playing, my livingroom.

I notice the metal nameplate at the front-bottom of the speaker. I want that! Anyone know where to get it in Canada? Or anywhere else? How did you get yours?

Not sure if this will help, or if they're in Canada, but try checking out a store called Things Remebered. They do engravings. I don't know if they do just nameplates, but they're a good start. Another thought would be look for a trophy place and see if they'll sell you just a little nameplate, engraved. Those are some thoughts off the top of my head.

This may not help, but I remember seeing an article on how to make your own plates by etching brasss or something like that. I've seen several articles in different woodworking magazines. I don't remember which ones though.
