I got screwed on Ebay! Yes or NO?

I hear a lot of scams about ebay sellers.

Example: One seller painted very cheap paper plates and sold them as expensive paper plates.

Who wants to buy paper plates that anybody can buy in the store.😕

Its not ebay's fault. Ebay can not control the sellers.

Many liable on-line stores note on each product that it will vary from the picture shown.

In my opinion, I would be very worry buying from ebay sellers.

BTW, I haven't buy anything from Ebay sellers.😀

Like every marketplace there are reputable dealers and there are flakes.

eBay is an amazing new phenomenom. A worldwide marketplace like no other that has come before.

I am currently surviving by selling stuff on eBay, I have happy clients and bend over backwards to make sure they stay that way.

Buyer beware.

I'm with you Dave,

I've amassed 243 positives with zero negatives in two years of buying and selling on eBay. I think the vast majority of eBay merchants are honest, trust worthy people, but there are the bad apples. As Dave says, "Buyer beware".

EBay is far from perfect but it is a great place to shop if you use common sense.

If the deal is too good to be true it may be. Read description fully, check the rating for the seller and email the person selling and ask questions. Save your emails and if possible use PayPal for the transaction. (Most credit cards offer the great protection and they tend to be on your side as oppose to the seller) I've email for additional photos and more information and most sellers will not have a problem. If you get a snippy email or no respone, reconsider your buy.

Be careful on how you view the negative ratings. If a person sells a thousand items and gets a few negative ratings for assorted items, is the norm because there will be unhappy people. Make sure all the negative ratings are not lumped together by date or complaint. If it is scattered for different reasons, things do happen. How many business do you know has a 100% happy? Do not excuse things like "item is not what is appers to be" or "misrepresented item", "no response from seller". Also read the respone for the seller to the complaints. See if they make an effort to reply and resolve the issue or if they just blame the buyer.

For the deal that fell through, I think the seller did screw up but he is trying to make it right. Give him a chance to make it right.

As always, be careful and use common sense. Check both ways before crossing and if you can't be good, be quick. :smash:
