Ahem, I also have MA5332MS amplifiers. I meant the A branded high power modules of the thread subject of course.
Yeah power of marketing. I know guys that buy new modules even after the other pair failed prematurely. A bit like Dyson really. The user blames himself when stuff goes boom.

Should I be scared ???So keep buying 200W modules to play 1W max 😊
I just bought a Hypex uCD400 with the pretty LED regulators. What are they for ? the input op-amp ?
I plan on pushing my 500W sub with as much power as my linear PS can supply.
My PS is a 300VA toroid with 20Kuf per rail. Outputs +/- 55V.
I also have a 20A protection circuit (DC/current).
I bought the Hypex just to get 250+ watts for my sub in my existing 2U enclosure.
Are these modules really that much junk ? All the module components seem top league. Samwha 100V caps ,
FET's are ON FDP42AN15A. Everything is TI/LM ON .... all brand name.
Looks new , dated 4823 (2023). Regulators are ON , as well.
BTW , I'm mounting the module on the existing big 120W class AB heatsink ...overkill??
OS
Hypex is not junk.
In my opinion,
Hypex runs Hot
Icepower runs Cool
Icepower is more reliable than Hypex
Hypex much easier to fix
Hypex support is totally awesome
Icepower support nonexistent (replace)
Hypex sounds better full range
Got a simple full range application? Hypex
Got a subwoofer or Apogee Scintillas? Icepower

At times I buy groceries across the street where there HQ resides, and noticed my modest backyard is longer then there facade.Hype-x?
Over the years I build numerous TPA325x pcbs and am quite happy with their robustness.
One time the chips refused starting after applying power - until I removed a solder blob connecting output pin with pos rail pin.
Afterwards it worked flawlessly.
Another anecdote: One of my amps disrupted output several times for 1-2seconds during a live gig.
Later I discovered that the heat sink did not have contact with the chip, so this had been an over-temperature shutdown with immediate reboot.
Besides this there were no damages at all.
All in all I remember only a single failure, that occured after connecting one of the control inputs with full pos rail voltage.
