I just received a 6 position/4 pole rotarty switch from Electroswitch. The model is C4D0406N-A. But the shaft is locked in position, and i cant seem to rotate it. It's an adjustable switch so im guessing its set to 1 position right now, how do i change that?? i tried playing with the washers and nuts on the shaft but with no success...
here is the datasheet:

There may be a pin installed for shipping. See if anything looks like a rivet-head and try gently to pry it out with a razor blade.
I just managed to get it to rotate! I was trying to rotate it by directly spinning the shaft with my fingers, this seems to be impossible, but with some plyers, i could rotate the shaft. It just needs ALOT of torque!
Is this normal? are most rotary switches like this?
