How To Dismantel A NEC1545V For Projection

heres a little how to if your thinking of using a
NEC 1545V monitor


first thing is to remove the plastic covers on the rear of the monitor

next step is to remove the 4 screws holding the base on

next remove the 2 screws holding the rear cover and
lift it up from the bottom

once the cover is removed there will be 4 silver screws 2 black screws in the powersuply plug and 2 risers for the vga plug holding the shield on the monitor remove all 8 and slide the shield forward 3/4" the lift to the left to remove it

sliding forward 3/4"

 

[cruser]

and lift to the left to remove

 

[cruser]

now you have to disconnect the ribon cables from the controller
just push the little white blocks twords the cable here you can see how i disconnected 1 of them

then remove the 3 screws powerplug and on screen display panel plug from the controller

 

[cruser]

now remove inverter powerplug from the inverter and the 4 screws from the powersuply and also the on/off swich plug

 

[cruser]

remove the 3 screws holding the on screen display panel
remove the controller ,powersuply,and osd panel and this is what you should have left on the steel frame

there are 4 screws thet hold the steel frame and lcd in the front bezel remove and lift the frame out

 

[cruser]

locate the 8 black screws on the sides of the frame and remove them this will alow the lcd and backlight to be removed

the lcd and backlight finaly exposed

 

[cruser]

now there is one more thing you need off the steel frame and its the power on/off swich just use a screwdriver and press the 2 clips in to remove the swich

then thats it for the frame
now remove the 2 black screws that hold the ribon cable on the lcd and pull up to remove it that will expose the 2 tiny screws under it remove them now

now there 3 other tiny screws that you have to remove before you can peel the aluminum covers off the horizontal and vertical pcb's here are the screws these 2

now you have to bend the 7 little tabs out of the way to alow the
lcd frame to seperate from the backlight you can do this with your fingers

now we are able to peel the covers off the pcb's i used a persision flathead screwdriver the cover is only glued on the outside edges so dont insert the driver more than 1/4" or you will hit the pcb
this i think is the hardest part of the whole prosses so take your time heres the first insert on the horizontal pcb

do the same thing with the vertical pcb and heres the pcb exposed
