Well, the LM317 might not fail straight away when you do this, giving you a false sense of security. And then all of a sudden boom, there goes the amp...

I think we've given you enough tips, and it's not nice to see them disregarded. Guess you're one of those people who will only learn by hands on experience...

I learn by getting it right.

Some/many claim one learns by getting it wrong !

If one only sees the "wrong" version and never gets to see the correct version, one will NEVER learn !

Iins is obviously a believer in "one learns from one's mistakes".
