How to beautifully photograph silicon chips in DIY style?

@IVX as you are en Chinese company, how you as a local deal with fake parts and how one outside of China should act/deal with those bastards.

IMHO, in the old days, I company I worked for had an own department just to do the pans off for quality reasons.

Is the any official company how deals this chip tear down as a service?

even in China, if you buy stuff from a big and famous seller, like Arrow, and other official distributors, you have zero chance of getting fake.
However, if I need to check some idea with the particular opamp right now, or let's say tomorrow morning but a big parts seller currently has no those parts, then I may order that from the tb spot. That's why I keep my eyes open and even get the metallurgical microscope. For the production, I'll wait until a big office offers me the part.

Finally, I've got opa2891 SO-8 to try with my Cosmos APU and others. The result was worse than I expected and IC looked a bit like remarked, so I decided to look at it under my microscope. I don't know, the supplier is a trusted one, any ideas??

Regarding the OPA2891, I just checked the visual appearance of some samples that I ordered directly from TI. They look exactly like yours, with the same font, pin 1 marker etc., so it looks like there is a good probability that your parts are genuine.

In what way was the result worse than expected?
