How much does replacing surrounds affect performance?

Then they are what they are, no help. At least the drivers are correct now. It's strange to me, for example I have a Microlab FC330 on my desk next to the PC. There is only one 5" bass driver, a small BR box, no DSP or anything like that, but it has plenty of bass.

I had an FC330. I believe they contain some form of DSP.

I opened them a long time ago, changed the cables, added a backfire super tweeter and damping. I don't have a schematic, but I didn't notice anything similar on the PCB. Maybe it has some analog bass boost, I can't say for sure. However, I think it would be disastrous for that little driver to make it run below 50-60Hz.

What I liked most about them was the fake tweeter, a wonderful idea. 😁

Here are the schematics, it doesn't have any DSP. 2 opamps, 2 transistors, 4 pcs. of TDA2030A. Plain and simple.
