don't grow up
I'm successfully avoiding that for 5 decades now .....
🙂
Neoteny🙂
I recently came across a wonderful saying : "Live long and die young." We grow old because we stop playing. 🙂
Managed, after many years, to achieve an entirely DIY system from source to speaker!
Truly amazing! Congratulations!
I think Puer aeternus is more accurate
🙂
hahaha.
Funny thing is, the scientists researching neoteny think that humans are the apes refused to grow up. The proof is human's face is more similar to the face of baby ape.
The secret of evolution might be "don't grow up!".😀

Wow - didn't know what I was expecting here, but this is a more varied set of responses that I thought I'd get! Seems like most are working on dedicated 2-channel systems.
I don't know if my qualifies as much as Metalman's - the closest I have come to a total DIY playback chain is a heavily modified Technics SL-1200 turn table that goes into a Pearl 2, then into an LDR based BA-3, to an M2, then to my FHXL speakers.
I'm still undecided if I want to build another few ACA channels for the family room entertainment system - I'll probably get there eventually...

Eric,
When I get done my Technics SL-1200 will also be the only thing not completely DIYed. It has a new arm and will have a an external PS, new mat. So not exactly stock. For occasional use I will also have a few CD/DVD/BD players.

I've built a DIY turntable and music servers.
The speed is wrong. Didn't realize this old record was a 45 rpm.
