No, the Deville never came in for repair.
So we do not have a reference amp.

It is good to stay away from the amp for some time; it can shed a light on something that has been overlooked. It happens to me every now and then.
and probably it's something stupid...

Once I couldn't solve a problem with a Dynacord PM1000 (power mixer).
It stayed in protection mode whatever I did.
After leaving it for two weeks, I picked it up again, a new look at the way I approached the problem and voila, within 15' it was up and running again.
A stupid resistor of a few cents.

After a longer period of trouble shooting the risk of wandering off of the original repair trail is real. A pauze of a few days can do miracles.

Whenever you feel that it's time to start it all up again let us know.
We will do as if nothing has been tested and start from scratch.
