Hornresp

Can someone verify that I did in fact get a correctly exported Hyp /.6 expansion.
Or possibly directions on how get a correct export :)
THANKS

I did :)
S1 260
S2 2225
go to L12 press H to get Hyp, enter 160
T .6

Those are the inputs, but what I need verified is that HR will actually export the data for that correctly because the export options are Con Exp and Uni? Specifically the field that needs to be accurate is the Area field.

Thanks

In the Export Wizard, you can select the Width Flare as Con, Exp or Uni. That means this is the way the width of the horn varies, not the area. Plot the height and width contours in exel or similar, and you will see how it works.

Hello,

Elias did a wavelet analysis in order to compare the Impulse Response calculated using Hornresp and the Impulse Response I used to measure at home on one of my horns (Le Cléac'h, Fc = 320Hz, T = 0.707).

The graph where the 2 are compared is at:

http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/atta...-horn-honk-wanted-le_cleach_j321_wavelet2.png

It is taken from a discussion about horns and honkness, see:

Best regards from Paris, France

Hornresp Version 26.30

Hi Everyone,

Hornresp Version 26.30 has just been released. The following changes have been made to the Horn Segment Wizard:

* The operation has been standardised for all flare types.

* Some of the less practical oblate spheroidal waveguide options and associated picklists have been removed to simplify matters, and the AT parameter is now more completely integrated into the tool.

* There is no longer a separate 'Specify' option for AT - the various 'Calculate' options now cover all permitted input combinations.

Kind regards,

David

You appear to be putting a very fine edge on your software tools. It will indeed make things work to their full potential. It is getting more a more interesting what can bee successfully simulated. And the the accuracy of the simulations is great. Many thanks for your very thorough commitment to the excellence of your program.

It just keeps getting better.

Hi Mark and brsanko,

Thanks for your kind words. As you have probably gathered by now, I am a bit of a perfectionist - it can be a real curse sometimes :).

Kind regards,

David

Help a new user

Just downloaded and trying out. I entered all my S values, but it says error L12=0 and will not let me change any L value.

Also, I need to understand how to enter driver parameters.

Specifications: *Power handling: 200 watts RMS/400 watts continuous program *VCdia: 2" *Le: 0.8 mH *Impedance: 8 ohms *Re: 5.1 ohms *Frequency response: 70-4,000 Hz *Fs: 70 Hz *SPL: 97 dB 1W/1m *Vas: 0.6 cu. ft. *Qms: 3.7 *Qes: 0.21 *Qts: 0.20 *Xmax: 6 mm *Dimensions: Overall diameter 8.8", Cutout diameter 7.4", Depth 3.7".

HR needs Sd, Cms, Mmd, Bl, Rms, Nd
Only Re and Le given in above. I guess I need formulas for figuring what HR needs?

Thanks
