Thank you, that worked. Also note that the typical SPL range in Holm is always less than 0 dB. In XSim the typical range is something like 60 to 120 dB. So you certainly won't see anything in XSim. When I used Holm I'd add a 99 dB offset (the maximum allowed) before exporting the file.
Just want to let you know that HI-x64 now is running fine on my OS-upgraded Acer Aspire One D270.
😉 Windows 11 - 22H2
I tried REW too but HI still is my preferred program for measuring and testing my loudspeakers.

I have a new audio interface (Audient iD24), where the optical outputs I want to send audio to for measurements are ASIO channels 9 and 10. I love Holm Impulse but it only supports the 4 first ASIO inputs/outputs and I really need to use 9-10 out. Optical in is 3-4 so it's no problem. Do you guys/gals know of a workaround that can have Holm send output to ASIO out 9-10?
Tough question. There are some programs that allow virtual patching or channel offsets. Perhaps something like that.
I connected a new USB sound card, it works normally. After starting Holm Impulse, this card appeared as another option in the input and output device menu, but the program tells me: ERROR while startup audiostream: Device unavailable. Thanks for any advice and ideas.
Hello.
Thanks for the program. I've been using it for a few years.
Now I have formatted my computer and I don't know where I can download it?
is it possible to get it?
Thank you

FWIW, I have found the 32 bit version to be more stable than the 64 bit. I use the 32 bit on Windows 10.
You can also get it from there, including the runtimes: https://rephase.org/dl/Holm/Hello.

I am succesfully using this program with more or less glitches for about 10 years. However lately it behaves strange: when I start the measurement, it sends a kind of annoying digital noise insted of the measuring sinus sweep signal, using the SPDIF output on my PC. My music player (JRiver) works perfectly with the same SPDIF output. I tried to download it again, reinstalled it, still producing this strange error. Any idea what might cause this?
That's interesting.
I occasionally get a disturbance at the end of a sweep at higher HF frequencies only.
Sort of like some gremlin or pixie crinkling / squelching a high pitched sweet wrapper😃
Or that what I hear at least.
Its been coming and going.
I have a feeling it's when I don't power my Phantom amp with it's own PSU (rely on USB power😱)
I've been using the PSU lately as I found it again after misplacing it for a while - haven't had this noise for a while / since
I will have to verify that though.

There is an interference with the Jriver format settings. I have no idea how it is possible, but after I uninstalled the player the HolmImpulse now works perfectly.
OK, that's odd. Like @Speedysteve7 I sometimes get the pixie noises at the end of a sweep. But I have found from time to time that HOLM gives me noise instead of a sweep. I usually change the soundcard settings to fix it, though I don't remember details. Glad that you fixed your problem.
I used HOLM for years and loved it, still find it handy for some things. But since it is long abandoned I have jumped on the REW bandwagon instead.
Sorry HOLMImpulse, you taught me a lot. 😥
