Yes, the mu follower common drain THF-51S sure is toasty. I'm listening to it right now and it's also providing fine music. It's a great winter amp. 🙂
There are already three Pass Sony VFET amps out there. There is the good old push-pull from 2016 or so, and the two single-ended versions (positive and negative sexes). Even more Sonys on the agenda?

This is what I use. I punch my own holes, and mount the SIT on the diagonal. Both Digikey and Mouser sell it. I don't know what Digikey or Mouser charge for shipping in the USA though. I usually include it in an order of CAN $100 or more which qualifies for free shipping to Canada.
